If you are a Mexica ctizen, starting from February 29, 2024, you should now apply for an eTA before travling to Canada. If you do not meet the requirements of an eTA, then you'll have to apply for a Visitor Visa.
You are eligible for a Mexican eTA if you have ALL the following requirements
- You are travelling to Canada by air ✈️ (even transit) with a valid Mexican passport
- You want to stay in Canada less than 6 months
- You had a Canadian Visitor Visa in the past 10 yeras or you currently have a US nonimmigrnt visa
Note that eTA is for AIR travel only! ✈️
Even if you are eligible for an eTA, but you are travelling to Canada by car🚗, bus🚌, train🚆 or boat,🚢 you need a visitor visa.
